RTI Act Applicable To Cochin International Airport: Kerala High Court
In a landmark ruling on August 5, 2025, the Kerala High Court declared that Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) qualifies as a ‘public authority’ under Section 2(h)(d)(i) of the Right to Information Act, 2005, and is therefore obligated to provide information sought through RTI applications.
