In a significant judgment, the Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court has quashed the preventive detention of a 28 year old resident of Anantnag, holding that the provisions of the Jammu and Kashmir Public Safety Act, 1978 were invoked in a highly casual and non serious manner.
