The Gujarat High Court has directed registration of an FIR into the custodial death of Jawri Mal Bishnoi, Joint Director General of Foreign Trade, Rajkot. The order was passed by Justice M. K. Thakker on 28.09.2026 in R/Special Criminal Application (Direction) No. 9593 of 2024. Bishnoi was arrested by the CBI, ACB, on 24.03.2023 in a corruption case after Rs.5,00,000 was allegedly recovered from his office drawer. He was formally…
