Court Sentences Linesman to Three Years in Jail for Bribery in Electricity Bill Settlement

In a significant verdict, a Gurugram Court has sentenced a linesman employed by Dakshini Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) to three years of imprisonment for accepting a bribe of Rs 1.20 lakh. The Court, presided over by Additional District & Sessions Judge Tarun Singal, also imposed a fine of Rs 1,000 on the linesman, Pawan Pradhan, after finding him guilty of bribery in the name of settling an electricity bill…
